Was Max Bygraves given Gentamicin ear drops?

I live in the USA and my cousin in the UK said that Max Bygraves ws given Gentamicin ear drops some time ago. My husband lost his vestibular system (balance system) in 1998. We belong to wobblers.com, a site for people disabled by Gentamicin or any aminoglycoside antibiotics. Baxter is now trying to get the FDA to approve Gentamicin sponges that they would implant in people during some surgeries to help infection. No way could the Gent. be monitored, and wobblers.com is trying to stop this. We have said if we could find a "celebrity" who has been damaged by Gentamicin, ear drops or medication. So far we have not had any luck. If Max were damaged by Gentamicin ear drops, maybe we could get him to help us. I am English and remember him from when I lived in England. Came to US in 1963 when I was 23.
