I'm rec. from anorexia and WANT to gain. what should i eat?

Recovering anorexic patients need to gain weight in very small amounts, no more than a pound a week. Gaining too much weight, too quickly will result in continued anorexic behavior. Your family should not be shoving milkshakes down your throat. Eat healthy food you feel comfortable eating. Food that you will not want to go and work off with cardio immediately after eating it. Also, remember that there is such a thing as essential fats that can be found in such foods as salmon, peanut er, avocados, olive oil, etc. If you are not having your menstrual period, you most likely do not have enought fat on your body. This is extremely unhealthy. Thin may look great now, but give it 20 years when osteoporosis has taken over and your bones are so brittle you have to use a walker. This is why many ballet companies give mandatory bone density checks - in order to insure the health of their dancers. You really need to start taking a calcium supplement in order to build your bones back up. You build bone m until you are in you late 20s. I would recommend talking to your doctor or a nutritionist to work out a diet plan that would best suit your situation.
