Should have Rooney gotten sent off?

I was watching Fox Football Fone in with Nick Webster and Steve Cohen, and they stated that in the match between Blackburn and Man U Rooney could have and should have been sent off. He dove in the penalty box which could have been a card, made a horrible tackle on Bentley which could have gotten him sent off, and was yelling at the referee. They said that if it was Mascherano he would have been sent off ages ago. They also went on to say that English players get away with too much in the premeirship (they're not being bias being that they are English themselves). Do you agree with them or not? what is your opinion?
